The Center for Human Services (CHS) is a CARF accredited, Department of Public Health licensed medication-assisted treatment program for opiate addicted persons utilizing prescribed methadone, Buprenorphine/Suboxone® and supportive counseling in conjunction with other support and referral services. The Medical Director prescribes the methadone and Suboxone® doses of persons served, which are administered by licensed nurses.
Physicians, psychiatrists, and nurses are available for consultation upon request. The persons served attend individual counseling to address drug use/abuse, personal/family, employment, health and legal issues. Group and family counseling are offered to those who voluntarily seek additional help/support.
Confidential HIV rapid testing is offered on a walk-in basis. Along with the testing, individuals are educated on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases (STD), Tuberculosis (TB) and safer-sex practices.
