Men’s Transitional House (MTH) is a 36-bed, innovative, and uniquely designed program that supports individuals involved with the Court Support Services Division (CSSD) who are living with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and/or experiencing homelessness. With a program duration of up to 90 days, MTH offers a structured and supportive environment for adults aged 18 and older who require enhanced recovery support and skill-building.
Clients at MTH may participate in Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services three days per week or other outpatient services as appropriate to support their recovery goals. The program also welcomes individuals receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT/MOUD). In addition, clients engage in a variety of in-house psychoeducational groups, including life skills, family reunification, parenting, job readiness, anger management, relapse prevention, stress management, and support for spiritual or religious engagement. Peer-led recovery support groups, including those based on the 12-step model, are also available.
Comprehensive case management services are provided to all clients. Case managers work collaboratively with clients to assess individual needs, coordinate services, and support transition planning for long-term stability and recovery.
Clients are connected to the full continuum of care offered by Recovery Network of Programs (RNP), including access to medical, therapeutic, and community-based services. This integrated approach ensures that clients receive holistic and coordinated support throughout their recovery journey.
MTH is staffed 24/7 to ensure consistent supervision and care. The facility is also fully compliant with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) community confinement standards. This includes a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse and harassment, ongoing staff training, resident education, multiple confidential reporting channels, and strict investigative protocols. These measures are in place to promote a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed environment for all residents.
This comprehensive model offers a secure and nurturing space for men working toward sustained recovery and improved quality of life.
